NEXT UP - BRICKIES HOME FOR AN “AWAY” GAME THIS TUESDAY!

AS the old TV catchphrase used to go... now for something completely different! New Milton’s next home game is technically “away” although it will be played at the GD Print Stadium. It’s also on a Tuesday rather than the usual Wednesday for matches at Fawcetts - and even if you are a Brickies” season ticket holder, you will, unfortunately, have to pay at the gate. Different again, of course, if you are a season ticket holder at Romsey Town, because then your entrance will be free. Confused? No doubt you are - so here’s the explanation… we were due at Romsey earlier in the season but the game had to be postponed because of an electricity fault outside their stadium affecting their facilities. The re-arranged date was this Tuesday, September 1st, supposedly at Romsey’s ground. However, that is still not match-fit on its floodlighting, so Romsey have agreed that this season’s two matches between the clubs will both be at New Milton. Therefore this will not count as our “home” fixture, which will still happen here later in the season. Told you it was confusing! So, in a nutshell… this Tuesday, September 1st, “Romsey v New Milton”, 7.45pm GD Print Stadium - and please don’t forget this is Romsey’s “home” game, so anything about ticketing or admission or stadium admin will be down to their rules and regs.
