New Milton Town Football Club is proud to announce the formation of an Under-23s team, set to launch ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Following extensive internal discussions earlier this year, the decision was made to introduce an Under-23s side to strengthen the club’s player development pathway.
The new team will provide a vital bridge between our successful Under-18s and the first team, offering local players a chance to continue their footballing journey within the club.
The move is designed to uncover hidden local talent from New Milton and the wider region while also creating a clearer route for progression into senior football.
The Under-23s will play their home fixtures at the M.A. Hart Stadium on Wednesday nights, allowing first-team management—Matt Maybury and Neil Langridge—the opportunity to observe players in action.
Unfortunately, our current development team will be folded as part of this transition.
Their final match will take place on Friday, May 16th, as they aim to lift the John Stimpson Memorial Shield at Hythe & Dibden. We thank all players and staff involved for their hard work and commitment throughout the season.
Our Under-18s team will also conclude at the end of this season, where they look to win the league tomorrow night, with many players in their final year of eligibility.
We look forward to seeing a number of them step up to the new Under-23s squad.
