Of course, you are aware that yesterday's fixture at the M.A. Hart Stadium with Newport (IoW) was sadly postponed. Storm Bert condemned us to our first defeat of sorts for several weeks. However, we want to spread some positive news, as a number of things are going on at the club despite yesterday's postponement due to weather conditions.
Before that, we want to let our fans know that the Matchday Programmes are available to pick up at the clubhouse—although for a game that will not happen at this time—and we are offering to post them out, too, whether you are a local fan of the club, a fan of the club who lives afar, or a fan of non-League football in general.
We pride ourselves on selling our programme for just £1, so you can have a keepsake at a minimum cost that allows us to break even. We would hate for them to go to waste.
This weekend's edition is 40 pages long and includes the latest club news, words from our chairman and manager, an interview with our head physio Lauren McNiven, Pundit Paul's column, a Meet the Vloggers piece, and much more.
Onto the positive news now. Below, you will see Kevin, who installed the new overhead projector in the main hall of the clubhouse yesterday morning. We will be showing live sports today, including both Premier League fixtures, as Liverpool travels to Southampton to attempt to extend their lead at the top of the table while Manchester United begin life under new manager Ruben Amorim away at Ipswich Town.
You'll notice that Kevin is wearing an official New Milton Town Football Club beanie hat, which is only one of two in existence at the moment.
Why, you ask?
Well, with great pride, we can announce that we have an online club shop opening sometime next week, just in time for Christmas. The shop will feature mugs, beanie and bobble hats, scarfs, polo and training shirts and hoodies, with more to be added.
We will, of course, let you know as soon as our online club shop is open.
Back to the football as we host Fawley AFC in the Wessex League Cup second round on Wednesday night under the lights at the M.A. Hart Stadium. The fixture is subject to a pitch inspection on the day, but match build, as always, will take place on our social media accounts, so be sure to follow us on Facebook, X and Instagram.
As always, thank you for your wonderful support.
